Are you getting Married?Would you like to get married at CSC, or take one of our pastors to another location? We have some important information you need to know! CSC believes in building marriages to last, so we have prepared some guidelines/policies regarding weddings at Centre Street Church. You are required to attend an orientation, attend our PreMarriage Seminar/Finance Workshop, complete PrePare Enrich and a mentoring process. Pre-Marriage SeminarAre you engaged and planning your wedding? We want to help you prepare, not only for your wedding, but also encourage and equip you to grow in a relationship that is honouring to God and one that will last a lifetime. If you are planning to be married at Centre Street Church or to have a pastor from Centre Street perform your wedding ceremony attendance at a Pre-Marriage Seminar is required. Please plan on contacting the Wedding Administrator a minimum of 6 months prior to your wedding date. Couples who have completed and submitted the Pre-Marriage Couples Questionnaire (found in the Weddings at Centre Street Church handbook), and attended an Orientation meeting with the Wedding Administrator, are automatically registered for the appropriate Pre-Marriage Seminar. The Pre-Marriage Seminar is held Friday evening and Saturday morning, and is offered three times a year. Pre-registration is required. There is also an all day Finance Workshop held in conjunction with our Empower classes on a Saturday at the CSC Main Campus but at a time separate from the Pre-Marriage Seminar. Space permitting, couples whose wedding is not at Centre Street Church and/or not being married by a CSC pastor, may attend the Pre-Marriage Seminar and Finance Workshop. You need JavaScript enabled to view it Please Note: All couples attending the Premarriage Seminar and Finance Workshop must be in agreement with the sacredness of God's design for marriage as stated in the Centre Street Church Definition of Marriage, which is: God instituted marriage as a sacred and honorable institution (Hebrews 13:4) for the blessing of companionship (Genesis 2:18) and as a continuation of the divine work of creation in the history of the human race (Genesis 4:1). God intended marriage to be a monogamous, life-long union (Genesis 2:24, Exodus 20:14) between a male and a female who are each lviing in the physical gender in which they were born (Genesis 1:27, Genesis 2:18, 20-25; Psalm139: 13-16; Mark 10: 7-9). Marriage is constituted first in mutual covenant and is a solemn, binding agreement entered into before God and others ( Malachi 2:14). God views the breaking of this covenant very seriously (11 Samual 12; Malachi 2:16).
