Dr. Henry Schorr Senior Pastor
“Are you tired of trying to live your Christian life alone? Does it feel as if you are doing it all by yourself and the results of living it seem so small and few?” That sounds like the beginning of a commercial that promises a remedy, but usually ends up just a bit hollow and empty – not providing what we expected. It is the cry of many of our hearts and we really want answers to those questions, not empty promises.
With God there is great news! You don’t have to live it alone. You can live a life that is full. It begins when God the Holy Spirit takes up residence in our lives and we become spiritually alive - that is the start of the Christian adventure. But it is just the beginning. God the Holy Spirit not only wants to reside in a part of you, He desires to fill you – that there would be no part of you which is not surrendered to His control, that He would have all of you. When that becomes your life the great Christian adventure reaches new heights and the results of it will be supernatural, for they will be of God.
Each of us who knows Christ wants to have that kind of life, but may not be quite sure how to get there. This weekend we will discover what it truly means to be filled with the Spirit, and how to prepare for it. He longs for us to live a life that is fully His and He is clear about what it will take. In order for that to happen we will look into His Word for those answers and respond to Him as He speaks to us.
I love being your pastor,
Henry
