Galatians: Living in Grace and Liberty in Christ

When: Saturdays, Sep 30 – Nov 25 (not Nov 11) 9:00 am – 12:30 pm

Location: Central Campus, Prayer Chapel

As followers of Christ saved by grace through faith, are we growing in His grace? What does it mean to live by grace? Living by grace means liberty not bondage; depending on the Holy Spirit not the flesh; living for others not for self; and living for the glory of God not for man’s approval. We look to the God of all grace. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen and settle you (1 Peter 5:10). In this study, we examine the scriptures from the book of Galatians focusing on the grace of God and what it means to have liberty in Christ Jesus. The focus of this course will be on theological meaning, biblical principles, and personal application. Course content (teaching and discussion) will be heavily grounded in the word of God.

Teacher/Facilitator: James Agarwal – James is currently University Research Chair and Professor at the U of C. In the last few years, he taught several classes including the “Covenants of God” and “Names of God” at CSC.
