Stories at CSC Workshop

calendar Mon, May 6
clock 6:00 PM
location Central

We believe that the telling, the hearing, and the sharing of stories in our community is powerful. It can have an impact far beyond the storyteller.

If you’ve been around Centre Street Church for any amount of time you know that there are two questions that get asked of you on a regular basis:

What is God saying to you? and, what are you going to do about it?

We know that God is at work in the lives of every one of you. He is at work in this city, in our nation, and around the world. One of the most powerful things we can do is to share the testimony of what God is doing in our lives even when the story is unfinished.

You are invited to embark with us in a storytelling workshop. Our stories tell of the mountain tops and the valleys in which we’ve climbed and walked; they open the door to see beyond a person who may be standing in front of you. When we dare to share our struggles, our failures, our successes, and the ways in which we have overcome by the power of Christ in our lives, this encourages others.

Join us on Monday May 6th at 6:00pm as we hear from Val Lieske, someone who has built her life around creating and showcasing stories. You will also hear from Graeme Lauber, the communications leader at CSC and can connect and meet the communications team.

We will talk about the power of story, why a good story deeply impacts our ability to empathize and to care for one another and how we can best retell these stories.
