What is Community Connections?
Community Connections is mid-week program for adults with developmental disabilities and brain injuries! Join us on Tuesdays or Wednesdays from September to May for scheduled classes and activities!
Community Connections is built to help those with developmental disabilities and brain injuries learn about God, make friends, and build community! We have volunteers who lead each class and activity. Our volunteers lead the larger group, while paid support workers (provided by you) support the individual to be fully engaged and participate. This sets everyone up for success.
What You Need to Know!
- All activities take place at Centre Street Church – Central Campus (3900 2nd St NE, Calgary).
- Registration is required! It is first-come, first-serve.
- All individuals are required to provide a support worker for activities and classes.
- All activities are free of charge.
- Registration does not guarantee a spot in the participant's chosen activities. Registration is not confirmed until a Disability Ministry staff member contacts you to offer a place in the participant’s chosen activities.

*Please pay attention to the days and times of activities as they have changed from last year. Please choose only the activities you are able to commit to attending. This helps us ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate and keep our waitlists short.

If you would like to be added to our waitlists, please register below!
- We Serve (Tuesdays, 9am-11:30am)
- Volunteer around the church with different tasks and jobs! Use your gifts to serve others and our church!
- Social Club (Tuesdays, 1pm-2pm) *NEW*
- Join us for crafts, card making, board/card games, and some activities up in our gym! Hang out and socialize with others while having fun.
- Bible Study (Wednesdays, 10:00am-11:00am)
- Spend time with others as you read God’s Word, pray, worship, and fellowship together.
- Kindness Cart (Wednesdays, 10:00am-11:30am)
- Work with others to create meaningful gifts for the staff members of the church to celebrate and appreciate their hard work!
- Music Fellowship (Wednesdays, 1pm-2pm) *NEW DAY*
- Come sing and play your heart out as your learn more about music, God, and instruments!
