Jesus is the most generous person who ever lived. He gave His life so that we might live. As Christians, we give our time, talent, and money joyfully in response to Jesus’ generosity and to help more people meet Jesus.
Here at Centre Street Church we believe that it is a privilege to serve. God frees His people and gives them gifts and talents so that we may serve Him and others, as an act of worship (Exodus 8 and Romans 12). In the process, we become more like Christ, who came to serve, rather than to be served (Matthew 20:28). Where is God calling you to serve?
Brian & Wanda
Brian and Wanda Barron are planting Third Day Grace Ministries in North Sydney, Cape Breton. Their vision is to see God work through his church in a very needy part of Canada. They are also launching a new youth centre called “Five Eleven” and desire for the Gospel of Jesus to impact the community in strategic ways. Please pray Third Day Grace and Five Eleven as they proclaim Christ on Cape Breton Island. Third Day has seen some changes to say the least due to Covid. As with everyone else, thinking through how to do ministry was a hard adjustment ranging from learning how to go online to doing funerals at gravesites as well as pastoral care over the phone. But God is good. The youth centre, serving over 300 kids, restarted in October with support from our community and grew to 400 kids. During this past year, they believe God is doing a new thing and are positioned to move forward. Pray for the team to grow in leadership skills as well as for more leaders to share the vision and ministry.
