Healing Discipleship

Healing Discipleship

The Healing and Discipleship Ministry provides groups as a place of refuge, rest and hope; a place for those who are struggling with the painful interruptions that often occur in life. Finding direction and answers when confronted with life's circumstances, participants are encouraged to apply biblical principles in order to grow spiritually in their relationship with God and with others. The Journey to Healing Starts Here!

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be confusing when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Each week, there will be a video to watch featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects. Then you’ll have a time together as a support group, discussing the video and what’s happening in your life. During the week you will have the opportunity to use your workbook for further personal study.

Freedom Session

Deep discipleship involves healing so that we may live an examined life by inviting God to reveal issues He wants to address. This journey allows us to grow and further reflect the character and life of Christ. Freedom Session is an intensive 28 week journey of looking at how we deal with adversity and challenges.

We will examine our past experiences, our strengths and weaknesses and connect them to our current way of living. We will be removing the behavioural barriers that keep us from living authentically - pornography, frozen emotions, broken marriages, sexual woundedness, abuse, spiritual emptiness, depression, anger, fear and addiction.

Beneath these symptoms lies the buried wounds of a hurting heart that is looking for hope and meaning. As Jesus begins to heal the heart, the unhealthy and destructive ways used to escape pain in our lives become less attractive. Shame loses it’s grip and the lies that controlled us are replaced by God’s truth.

We are set free to be who God created us to be! The final leg teaches us practical ways to be in His word and hear from Him directly, how to create an authentic life plan that unleashes our new identity in Christ, how to set healthy boundaries and resolve conflict God's way.
