Grace Evergreen - Saskatoon Saskatchewan
We moved into the community of Evergreen in northeast Saskatoon 5 years ago. We came from a small rural church in northern Saskatchewan and church planting wasn’t something that we ever thought we would do. However, God stirred in my heart the desire to church plant. We see a deep need to plant new churches and to see the gospel grow in places where there is no gospel presence. Our favorite things are the opportunities we have to serve our community and inviting people into our home. We love being missional in how we live and we are so grateful to be part of a church that lives this out.
Our church is in an area of Saskatoon where there is no other gospel preaching church. The two main communities that we serve as a church are the communities of Evergreen and Aspen Ridge. These are new and growing communities in Saskatoon that are filled will many people that are new to Canada. In the school where we meet there are students from over 40 countries. Walking in the parks or through the playgrounds can feel like you are walking in a foreign country. There are so many different languages being spoken. Many of these people come to Canada with their own set of beliefs. Our desire is to serve and be a light in this place and to live out the good news of the gospel.
